How do I enable AI‑assisted Consults

AI-assisted Consults let users record an in-practice consultation and generate a draft consult note, a suggested weight entry, and a transcript for review. This article explains how to enable the feature for your practice.

  • You need permission to be able to enable integrations. Permissions can be adjusted by your practice administrator in Settings > General Settings > Role Management.
  • You must enable AI-assisted Consult before users can use it.
  • Users need the AI features permission to use AI-assisted Consult.
  • Access is controlled through Settings > General Settings > User Roles and Settings > General Settings > Role Management.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Go to Settings > General Settings > Integrations Hub.
  2. Find the AI-assisted Consult tile.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Review and accept the terms and conditions. The tile will then show as Active.
  5. Go to Settings > General Settings > User Roles to review which role each user has.
  6. Go to Settings > General Settings > Role Management and enable the AI features permission for the roles that should use AI-assisted Consult.

Who can use AI-assisted Consults?

Only users whose role includes the AI features permission can use AI-assisted Consult.

Does enabling the feature automatically give all users access?

No. Enabling AI-assisted Consults makes the feature available to your practice, but only users with the correct role permissions can use it.

What is the difference between User Roles and Role Management?

Use Settings > General Settings > User Roles to review which role each user has. Use Settings > General Settings > Role Management to define which permissions each role includes.

Are there any other setup requirements?

Yes. Before users can record a consultation, they must allow microphone access in their browser and accept a recording waiver each time they start a recording.

Where will users find AI-assisted Consult?

Users with permission will see the AI-assisted Consult button at the top of the patient file with the other actions.
