Interaction – Respiration

The Respiration interaction is available only within the Patient file.

You can perform and record a patient Respiratory examination. Animana also provides a simple check-list to speed up the process.

Summary

Date

Enter the date of the respiratory examination.

When you create this report, the current date will be chosen, but you can change the date by typing the correct date or by using the calender.

Employee

Provide the name of the veterinarian performing the examination.

Respiration At Rest

Enter details of any observations of patient respiration at rest, for example; abnormal, high frequency, too abdominal.
Select Normal if you observe normal respiration.

Respiration After Work

Enter details of any observations of patient respiration at rest, for example; abnormal, high frequency, too abdominal.
Select Normal if you observe normal respiration.

Respiration Type

Here you can choose the respiration type, for example: costo-abdominal

Mucous Membranes

Enter details of Mucous Membranes observations for example; pale, pink, red.
Select Normal if there are no abnormal observations to record.

Lymph Nodes

Enter details of Lymph Nodes observations for example; enlarged, painful.
Select Normal if there are no abnormal observations to record.

Spontaneous Coughing

Note whether you observe any spontaneous coughing in the patient.

Larynx.

Record any sensitivity in the larynx.

Result Activated Coughing

Enter any observations from coughing, for example; dry, humid, painful.

Mucous Location

Describe the location of the mucous, for example; thick trail.
Select Normal if there are no abnormal observations to record.

Form Bifurcation

Enter the type of bifurcation you’ve discovered. For instance: oedema or rounding.

Pouches

If the patient has pouches, choose the remarks, for instance: fluid left or clean
