- Ask Customer Support to switch on the new product component. Please note that this functionality has not been released to all Animana users. Please contact Customer Support for more information.
- Ask Customer Support to enable the module Treatment Plans
Treatment plans are used in large animal practices to define a list of medicines (products) available to be added to the Patient’s / Herd’s File. The list is set up for each species and the treatment plan(s) are assigned to each client. The plan can be configured to inform the user if the product being added is not in the treatment plan and also prevent the product being added unless the user is a Vet.
Create a treatment plan
Click on the icon in the navigation bar and select > Products > Treatment Plans. Click on to add a new one.
- Name: name of the treatment plan, i.e. Horse
- Species: the species it concerns
- Start date: start date of the treatment plan
- End date: end date or the treatment plan
- Warning text: this warning is shown when a user adds a product that is not listed in the treatment plan
- Only vet: When ticked, only users with user type “vet” will be able to add products not in the treatment plan to the patient or herd file. Nurses can only add products that are listed in the treatment plan.
- Only vet text: This text will appear when the check box ‘only vet’ is ticked and a user without user type ‘vet’ tries to enter a product that is not in the treatment plan.
You can add products to your treatment plan by using the search field.
Activate treatment plan for client
Open a Client File and go to Client Data:
Once the Client Data has been loaded, click on the tab ‘Treatment Plan’ and select the appropriate treatment plan.
