It might happen that the cost prices of your products are changing over time. This means that you need to update the cost price manually or it may happen automatically if your prices are linked to an online wholesaler. This article will explain how to update the prices of of individual cost prices in Animana.
Step-by-step instructions
Scenario example
In this example we want to change the proces of the Metacam Chew Tablets for Dogs. The cost price went up with 12% so we need to make sure the new cost price is included in our product list.
For this method we are going to edit a product in Animana and change the cost price. Please proceed with the following steps:
- Browse to Extra > Product > Edit Product
- Make sure to select the appropriate product group from the dropdown-menu:

Now select Prices from the dropdown-menu to the right:
- Under the “Cost Price” column, you will have the ability to change the price:

Since the price has been increased with 12%, in order to calculate that the following formula is in order: 25.63 * 1.12 = 28.71. The new price is 28.71.

Keep in mind that you need to manually calculate the price increase. Don’t forget to click the Save button when you make a change to the pricing:
