In exceptional situations your Animana URL can change. To ensure that you can continue to make optimal use of Animana after this change, we have provided the following checklist in which we refer to related Knowledge Base Articles on any of the points of the checklist. If you are unable to make the changes yourself, our Animana Customer Support team is ready to help.
Important: After the URL change you will continue to login via login.animana.com, and thus will not need to change your bookmarks or shortcuts.
Before you start
Check which changes apply to your practice:
- Web-browser settings (for all practices)
- Lab connection (If you have lab equipment connected to Animana)
- Dicom connection (if you have digital X-ray equipment connected to Animana)
- Caldav (if you synchronize your Animana diary to your iPad and iPhone)
It’s possible that you will need to contact your system administrator if you lack sufficient permissions to execute these changes.
Reconfigure pop-up blocking in your browser
Animana makes use of pop-ups, so it’s important that your browser allows pop-ups from Animana (while unwanted pop-ups from other sites remain blocked).
For information on how to do this see our Related Articles.
Important: This setting must be configured on every computer.
Download a new Web Agent for laboratory equipment connection
The Web Agent connects your lab equipment to Animana, and is linked to your Animana URL.
Because your Animana URL has changed, this new URL will need to be configured in the Animana Webagent. This is done by replacing the existing Webagent with a new one.
For information on how to uninstall the old and install the new Webagent see our Related Articles.
Important:
- This setting only needs to be configured on the computer where the Web Agent is installed. For clinics using the IDEXX VetLab Station, this is also the computer where IDEXX Interlink is installed.
- At least one Windows computer is necessary on the network to run special software that links the IDEXX VetLabStation lab equipment to Animana. Please keep this in mind when working in a Mac environment.
Download a new Dicom Uploader for the X-ray connection
The Dicom Uploader allows you to automatically import X-rays into Animana.
Because your Animana URL has changed, this new URL will need to be configured in the Dicom Uploader. This is done by replacing the existing Dicom Uploader with a new one.
For information on how to uninstall the old and installing the new Dicom Uploader see our Related Articles.
Important: This setting only needs to be configured on the computer where the Dicom uploader is installed.
CalDAV calendar synchronisation settings
CalDAV allows you to use your Animana calendar on your iPhone or iPad. You will need to adjust these settings in order to ensure that the calendar synchronization continues to function optimally after the URL change.
For information on how to do this see the Related articles below.
