How do I create a MyIDEXX account?

In 2025 you can login to Animana via the MyIDEXX platform. This platform allows you access to multiple applications using just one set of credentials. Besides Animana you would for instance also be able to access VetConnect PLUS, IDEXX Online Orders and the IDEXX learning center. You do need a MyIDEXX account for this. This article explains how to create a MyIDEXX account.

Note: If you have multiple Animana accounts, create 1 MyIDEXX account. You will link each Animana account to your one MyIDEXX account via your email address.

First enter your authentication email address in Animana. For this, go to > User settings > User Data > field “authentication email”. Your authentication email is your indiviual practice email address, not a shared account. Then click Save. If you have multiple Animana accounts, enter your authentication email address in the user details in each of your Animana accounts. For more information see the related articles below.

Step-by-step instructions

Enter your authentication email address in Animana. Do this for each Animana account you have access to. See Before you start.
Log out of Animana.
In the Animana login screen, click Create MyIDEXX account.
Or navigate to my.idexx.com and click Register now.
Enter your email address. This would be your authentication email address from step 1. See Before you start.
Click Create account.
Create a password.

Passwords should be at least 10 characters long and have at least a lower case letter, an upper case letter, a number and/or a special character.
Click Create account.
You will see a notification that a confirmation email has been sent to you.
Once received, open the email and click the link Confirm your registration and sign in.
You will see a notification that your email address was successfully verified. Click the button to Continue.
You will return to the login page. This time, click the button Sign in with MyIDEXX.
Enter your name, surname, country and language and read the privacy policy.
If you accept them, tick the checkbox for accepting the privacy policy and click Continue.
If you know your practice’s IDEXX account number, country and business ZIP code for your practice, make sure to fill all three fields and click Continue.
If you don’t know your practice’s IDEXX account number, country and business ZIP code – or if you don’t want to enter the information now – click Cancel/Skip.

Note that when you do not enter your practice’s IDEXX account number you will not be able to benefit from the easy access to VetConnect PLUS and IDEXX online orders.

You have now created a MyIDEXX account and you can start using MyIDEXX to log into Animana.

Do you have multiple Animana accounts? Then enter the same authentication email address in your user data for each Animana account. See Before you start. This will link the different Animana accounts to your one MyIDEXX account. When you log into Animana using MyIDEXX, you can choose which Animana account you want to log into.

Where do I find my practice’s IDEXX account number?

When setting up your MyIDEXX account you have the option to add your practice’s IDEXX account number. This is not mandatory but setting this up allows you to benefit from the other IDEXX platform functionalities in MyIDEXX, such as the IDEXX learning center, IDEXX online orders and VetConnect PLUS.

Your IDEXX account number is the same number that you use to place orders with IDEXX and can be found on your IDEXX disposable order forms, test order forms and your IDEXX Animana invoices.
