- You need permission to delete products from the system. Permissions can be adjusted by practice administrators in > General Settings > Role Management.
- If you delete a product that has never been used, it will be completely removed from the system. If you delete a product that has been sold in the past, the product is marked as inactive.
Step-by-step instructions

Upon deleting a product (whether it’s inactive or deleted), Animana will also automatically:
- Remove stock batches and quantity for that product for all locations. Note that manual batches will still be linked to inactive products.
- Remove any price groups that were added to that product at the product level.
- Remove any withdrawal periods that were added to that product.
- Go to > Products > Products.
- Search for the product you want to remove.
- Click for the appropriate product.
- Check and confirm that you want to delete this product.

How do I re-activate a deleted product?
If the product that you have deleted has never been sold, it has been completely removed from the system and you cannot re-activate it.
If the product that you have deleted was sold in the past, the product is marked as inactive. You can then re-activate it by going to > Products > Products and selecting the radio button “show inactive products” at the top. Click on the product to open it, open the Product Info tab and select the radio button “yes” behind the field “active”. Then click Save. The product will now be moved back to the active list.
