With custom protocols, you can simplify repetitive tasks by using a customised template. This comes in handy if you want to have a uniform treatment plan within your practice. Moreover, it will save you a lot of time. This article will explain how to copy a (custom) protocol. This is helpful when you have created or used a protocol and you want to use it as a base for a new protocol.

- In order to manage your custom protocols, you need to have the right settings enabled. Please contact the support team and ask them to activate the functionality.
- You need to have the correct permission set up in order to use the custom protocols. Please contact your administrator to set this up.
- If the protocol is marked by a “Master account”, you will not be able to copy this protocol. In this case, please contact your Animana practice administrator to make changes to a protocol.
Step-by-step instructions
- In your account, go to > General settings > Custom protocols.
- You will see a table with a list of custom protocols. One of the columns is called “Copy”. In that column, click on the -icon next to the protocol you wish to copy.
- You will be prompted to confirm. If it’s indeed the protocol you want to copy, then click OK.
- You will return to the list of protocols. By default, the copied protocol will use the same name but will have the word “COPY” at the end. Click on that protocol to edit it.
- On the right, in the section “protocol properties”, you can change the name of the protocol.
- By default, the new copy of the protocol is set to inactive, so make sure to tick the box “active”.
- All other fields are editable, so modify the protocol as desired.
- When you’re done, click Save or Save and Close at the top.
