Search Functionality

Search Box

To search for a client, simply enter a search term (e.g. a first name) in the search box in the top left, then select find client, and click the binoculars icon. The search box is NOT case sensitive.

Search Results

You will immediately see the search results page. To select (e.g. view or edit) a client, just click the relevant row.

Advanced Searching

The search box is a very powerful and is able to match partial searches, for example, when searching by client name;

  • jo” matches the following;
    • Joanne Bloggs
    • John Green
    • Robert Banjo

Wildcards: SPACE

New in v0.2.5: The search box is now even smarter – you can now use a space character to help you search for client names For example, searching for the client “John Smith” is possible with any of these search terms:

  • “john smith”
  • “smith john”
  • “jo sm”
  • “j s”

Wildcards: COMMA

You can also use a “,” character to search across client name, address and patient name. This takes the syntax <client>,<address>,<patient>. Note you must not use spaces. For example;

  • jo,ma” matches the following;
  • Joanne Bloggs (who lives on Main Street)
  • Joe Smith (who lives on Germaine Avenue)
  • jo,ma,mi” matches the following;
  • Joe Smith (who lives on Germaine Avenue, with a dog called Missy)

You can also omit the address element – just don’t forget to add the second comma;

  • jo,,mi” matches the following;
  • Joanne Bloggs (with a cat called Timi)
  • Joe Smith (with a dog called Missy)
