It is possible to synchronise Animana appointments with your iPhone. This article will explain how to set this up.

Step-by-step instructions

1. In Animana, go to  > User Settings.
2. On the left, click on User Data.
3. Select the column that needs to be synchronised to your iPhone from the drop-down menu behind  the field “appointment column”.

   Note that you can only synchronise 1 appointment column with your iPhone.
4. Click on Save.
5. Unlock your iPhone and go to Settings > Mail > Accounts.
6. Click on Add Account.
7. You will see a list of mail providers. Select Other.
8. Click on Add CalDAV Account.
9. Enter information in the field “Server”.

   While logged into Animana, have a look at the web address field and you will see the server address which looks like this: https://practicename.animana.com. The practicename will be filled in with a name that is unique to your practice.

   • • Type this address in the server address field on your iPhone without the ‘https://’ part. For example: practicename.animana.com
     • Now add the following to that address: /calendar/your username. Please note that after the /calendar/ your Animana username should be filled in.

   Combined, the complete server address should look like this: practicename.animana.com/calendar/username99

10. Enter information in the field “User Name”. This is your Animana username. It’s the same name as the username used at the previous step.
11. In your user data in Animana (step 2), click the green arrows next to the “CalDAV password” field. A password will be generated and copied. Enter this CalDAV password on your iPhone in the “Password” field.

    Tip: paste the password into an email or application that you can also open on your iPhone, so you can easily copy the password from Animana to your iPhone.
12. If you want you can give this particular calendar a name in the field “description” in order to easily recognize the calendar on your iPhone. It is not mandatory.
13. Click on Next in your iPhone to confirm.
14. Click on Save in Animana.

The connection is being established and will be bi-directional as long as the devices are connected to the internet.  When making an appointment in your iPhone, this appointment will also be visible in Animana and vice versa.
