How do I adjust the default view of the patient file and herd file?

It is possible to customise the default view of patient and herd files in Animana to your preference by setting the patient file filter options and configuring the action buttons differently. This article explains how to adjust the filter settings for your Animana user account.

Step-by-step instructions

The changes you make are only for your personal user account and thus do not affect other accounts.
  1. Go to  > User Settings > Patient & Herd File Settings. Or, from any patient or herd file, click File Settings behind the filters at the top.
  2. In the section “Filter settings”, at the bottom, check the boxes for the filters you want to be active and visible at all times in the patient and herd files you view.
  3. Change the order in which the filters are shown in the file, by clicking on the right-hand side and dragging the filter to another place in the list.

Changes are saved automatically. When you open a patient or herd file after adjusting the filter settings, you will see that your settings are immediately implemented.

What’s the “Reset filters to default” button for?

The default settings for patient and herd files are as follows:

  • no filters are selected (all items are shown)
  • the order of the filters in the file is: products – appointments – weight – phone – letters – emails – reminders – notes – insurance claims – attachments – diagnosis – estimates – protocols – others

The moment you make changes as explained in the step-by-step instructions, the display and/or order changes in the patient and herd files. If you click the Reset filters to default button, the filters and their order will be reset to the default, as mentioned above.

What’s the “Reset all to default” button for?

This page ( > User Settings > Patient & Herd File Settings) shows the action settings and the filter settings of your patient and herd files. When you click Reset all to default both the action buttons and the filter settings will be reset to their default values.
