How do I edit patient data?

This article will explain how you can edit patient data.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Search for the patient. This can be done either from the main search box at the top (select “Patient” in the search dropdown), or from the “Animals” tab on the client information. Once you have found the correct patient, simply click to open their file.
  2. Select the patient data tab.

  3. Here you can add, change and also remove information about the animal. You will find more information below about the different options.
  4. After changing the patient information, don’t forget to click Save at the bottom.

When you edit an existing patient you have to save changes to patient identification section separately. So ensure that you click Save before and after editing identification information, otherwise, the system will give priority to the identification information and will forget any other information you updated.

What patient information can I edit?

Identification

Note: As mentioned above, we advise you to add or adjust identification of a patient first when you edit an existing patient, and save the changes before entering other information.

  1. Click on to add new identification (such as a chip number or tattoo), for this patient.
  2. In the pop-up screen, click on the dropdown below “description” first and select the type of identification that you are adding.

  3. The “date” field represents the date that the identification was created. When you select “microchip number”, the date refers to the date the microchip was injected. When you select “passport”, the date refers to the date the passport was given out by the veterinarian to the first owner.
  4. “Number” refers to the actual identification number.
  5. “Position” is used to reflect where specifically on the patient´s body the identification mark is present.
